I understand this is a very interesting human-interest story from not only basketball fans but bystanders from around the world. He was a global icon and died at only 41 with his daughter so it's the biggest news story in the last 5 years (Trump being elected may be bigger but up for debate).
But is enough enough?
None of us knew this guy but now I see people getting Kobe tattoos and sobbing uncontrollably about a guy they don't even know. Who are these people?
ESPN is playing up this "return to basketball for the LA Lakers" and young college players that have never met the guy scribbling his name on their shoes.
What's your take on this? I'm not a Kobe hater at all BTW. I think he was a fantastic basketball player and I was actually very impressed with how he carried himself and matured following his sexual assault allegation years ago.
